This project contributes to “facilitating access to sustainable quality health services for vulnerable and marginalised people in the project area, including the detection and management of neglected tropical diseases. 2024- 2026
Targets NTDs (including leprosy) and maternal and neonatal mortality through health system strengthening at the demand and supply side. Infrastructure support, capacity building of health workers and managers regarding prevention, diagnosing and treating endemic NTDs, and maternal and neonatal health. Three-arm research project for improving physical, psycho-social and mental health of the people affected in the context of self-support groups, with health system strengthening. Mental health provision either as standard, through self-support groups, or with individual peer counselling, or trough group level practice of mindfulness / breathing exercises.
This project tests three different self-support group packages with mental health components. This project also supports the community, health sector and local authorities to identify and address needs of the people affected by leprosy and LF.
To screen door-to-door for leprosy at least 80% of 53,626 inhabitants of 15 villages of Anjuan, Comoros. To provide care for new cases detected including nutritional support.
To monitor contacts of new leprosy cases and people affected by leprosy under treatment and with disabilities.

The objective is to ensure that people who suffer some type of disability caused by leprosy can regain their autonomy and improve their quality of life through reconstructive surgery and physical rehabilitation, in Indore (Madhya Pradesh state).
The objective of the project is (i) to rebuild and equip the hospital; (ii) train local health personnel for early diagnosis; (iii) reaching remote tribal populations hitherto without health services through the Fontilles and GMLF mobile clinics, and (iv) expanding treatment to other pathologies prevalent in the area and linked to poverty, mainly filariasis, malaria and HIV AIDS.

The project aims to provide health coverage to the population of four districts of India (Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam in the state of Andrah Pradesh; and Koraput district in the state of Orissa), highly endemic in leprosy. The population of these districts is severely affected by extreme poverty, coupled with the disabling effects of leprosy and other prevalent diseases and the terrible social stigma associated with them.
