The overall objective is to contribute to improving the quality of life of people affected by leprosy in Côte d’Ivoire through creating better opportunities for starting meaningful work and livelihoods to support themselves and their families including access to better healthcare and community support

Hapara Transmisaun Moras Lepra (May 2024-January 2025)

This program is conducted in three municipalities: Baucau, Manatuto, and Liquica. Its main activities include the promotion, detection, and screening of leprosy, as well as refreshing training health professionals. Additionally, the program encompasses a horticulture initiative that includes facilitating training on Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI). The program collaborates closely with communities and key partners, including the Ministry of Health of Timor-Leste, local authorities, and the general community.

HAGAR Project

Women (some with their children) who are in crisis from leprosy and other causes will have access to a safe, loving retreat while their resettlement into a safe community through empowerment and skill development in Rangpur division.

Global Leprosy Mapping Initiative Nepal

The Global Leprosy Mapping Project is established to support MoH in updating and reviewing previous years’ leprosy data and indicators and digitising case-based leprosy data, including mapping in an online reporting system in Nepal. Fight against hunger caused by the COVID 19 pandemic among the extremely poor tribal population in India

Two levels of intervention are proposed: 1. Installation of community kitchens and supply of basic foods with high levels of nutrients (all managed by the communities themselves), and 2. Promotion of income generation after training for the start-up of small productive projects and the provision of a revolving microcredit among the selected beneficiary population. Extra Clofazimine for MB (BL and LL) cases at high risk of ENL reactions

To compare with in BL/LL subjects who have or previously had at least 1 episode of ENL before RFT or within 12m of RFT after fixed duration MDT of 12m, to compare the proportion who have recurrence and severity and of ENL over 24 months observation, in those who receive additional clofazimine (at least 100mg/day for 6-12m) with that in those who receive only clofazimine at 50mg /day (or none if RFT)

Essential Health Project

Targets NTDs (including leprosy) and maternal and neonatal mortality through health system strengthening at the demand and supply side. Capacity building of health workers and managers regarding prevention, diagnosing and treating endemic NTDs, and maternal and neonatal health. Community sensitisation for prevention of NTDs.

Expanding disability inclusion and explosive ordance risk education to promote a more inclusive, safe and principled response (multi-year allocation)

TLMM will deliver Disability trainings to consortium partners in each township of Hsihsen & Pekon in Southern Shan. TLMM will coordinate with the Disability Lead and training will be tailored to the context and needs of organisations and will include sensitization on the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Guidelines for Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities. MAG and TLMM will work together to support the identification of people with disabilities via the collection of Washington Short Set surveys and interviews at the household level. TLMM will establish and strengthen existing Rehab centre, referral system set up, provision of Assistive Device and provide multi-purpose cash support.

Enhanced Care for Integrated Skin NTDs in Nigeria

Working in twelve communities in the three states of Zamfara, Benue and Nasawara, the project works towards the elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases as a public health problem, in particular Leprosy, Lymphatic Filariasis and Buruli Ulcers.

Empower and integrate people affected by Leprosy

Contributing towards leprosy elimination by undertaking active case-finding that will contribute to the interruption of transmission within the community and by providing socio-economic support that will decrease stigma and increase representation of people affected by leprosy and other persons with disabilities in local development in the two districts of the West Hararge. In addition, it aims to check and verify the data of relapse cases and provide data input for the national TBL program. This will be achieved through strengthened capacity of health workers to improve passive case finding and to conduct active case finding (house-to-house contact screening and community campaigns). It also supports the livelihoods of the leprosy-affected populations by providing livelihood support to improve their quality of life.

EMPOWER: Empowering Community Support Groups for a sustainable community-based NTD program in Kasai

This project builds on existing community based groups of people affected by NTDs. This project aims to strengthen the governance and income generation of the CBGs for sustainability.
