Thunderclap for World Leprosy Day

January 23, 2017

Thunderclap #WLD2017

ILEP is organizing a Thunderclap for WLD2017 to help raise the profile of leprosy ahead of World Leprosy Day on Sunday 29 Jan 2017.

We need as many members, partners and friends as possible to help make some noise for WLD on social media, demonstrating support for our call to end disabilities in children with leprosy.

The Thunderclap app collects all posts and tweets and publishes all of them at the same moment. It is an effective way to get your message out to as many people as possible, because aggregating the posts allows breaking through the “noise” of general news.

The message will be: 1 in 10 people diagnosed w leprosy is a child. By working together we can prevent disabilities in boys & girls #WLD2017

It will be sent on Friday 27 Jan @ 12pm CET, ahead of Sunday’s World Leprosy Day.

Why Thunderclap?

“Thunderclap is the first-ever crowdspeaking platform that helps people be heard by saying something together. It allows a single message to be mass-shared, flash mob-style, so it rises above the noise of your social networks. By boosting the signal at the same time, Thunderclap helps a single person create action and change like never before.
